Riyadh, Dec. 15 (SANA) Syrian Minister of Economy and Industry, Nidal al-Shaar, took part Monday in the opening of the “Made in Saudi Arabia 2025” exhibition in Riyadh, alongside Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef.
The third edition of the exhibition this year carries a distinctive regional dimension with Syria participating as the guest of honor—a step that reflects the depth of fraternal ties and opens new horizons for industrial and economic integration between the two countries, in line with Saudi Arabia’s growing approach to support recovery and regional openness.
In his speech at the opening cermony, Minister al-Shaar stressed that Syria is entering a new phase of economic and industrial reconstruction and looks forward to building broad strategic partnerships with Saudi Arabia.
He described the “Made in Saudi Arabia” exhibition as an inspiring platform that embodies an exceptional vision from which Syria can learn and build upon.
Al-Shaar pointed out that Syria is one of the most promising investment environments in the region, supported by vast opportunities in reconstruction, growing economic integration with Gulf countries, and a clear governmental will to facilitate investment through a comprehensive package of incentives and guarantees.
He emphasized that Syria’s participation in the exhibition is not symbolic, but rather the beginning of industrial, investment, and trade partnerships covering sectors such as energy, manufacturing industries, agriculture and food, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, as well as textile and engineering industries.
The Minister of Economy and Industry also announced the launch of a support package for investors, including capital protection, development of new industrial zones in partnership with the private sector, long-term tax and customs exemptions, and the establishment of a unified investment window to streamline procedures.
The exhibition will run for three days.
