Azerbaijan’s SOCAR, Qatar’s UCC sign aircraft fuel cooperation MoU in Damascus

Damascus, Dec. 5 (SANA) Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR and Qatari firm UCC Petroleum Trading signed on Friday a memorandum of understanding in Damascus to explore cooperation in the supply of aircraft fuel.

The agreement was signed by SOCAR Vice President Kanan Najafov and UCC representative Mousa Naber, in presence of Azerbaijani and Qatari diplomats in Damascus.

UCC Petroleum Trading, a subsidiary of the holding company Urbacon, previously signed agreements with Syria’s Ministry of Energy in November to establish eight power plants with a combined capacity of 5,000 megawatts, part of the country’s national plan to meet energy needs and support economic and social development.
