Damascus Securities Exchange records SYP 1.7 billion in trading

The Damascus Securities Exchange posted total trading of SYP 1.713 billion during Wednesday’s session on November 26, 2025, with 368,056 shares changing hands through 343 transactions, according to the exchange’s official daily bulletin.

Some stocks gained value in the market like shares of Qatar National Bank – Syria which led the session’s gainers, rising 2.84% to close at SYP 3,596.14, with a trading volume of 245,770 shares, one of the highest of the day, and the International Bank for Trade and Finance which also advanced, climbing 2.22% to end the session at SYP 5,294.78.

While on the other hand, Al Baraka Bank – Syria declined 0.64% to SYP 2,430.20, while Ahli Trust Bank fell 2.72% to settle at SYP 1,421.70.

Several listed companies recorded no trades in the stock market, including Cham Bank, Jordan Bank–Syria, Bank of Syria and Overseas, Fransabank – Syria, Syrian Cooperative Insurance, Syrian National Insurance, the National Transport Company, United Publishing Group, and MTN Syria. These stocks remained unchanged at their previous closing prices.

The session was supported by the execution of a large block trade involving 200,000 shares worth more than SYP 699.4 million, which played a key role in lifting the overall value of daily trading.
