Riyadh, SANA – The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is participating as Guest of Honor in the 62nd Damascus International Fair, which kicks off Wednesday evening at Damascus International Fairgrounds, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA)reported.
Saudi participation in this edition of the fair reflects the strength of the historical and fraternal ties between the two countries and the Kingdom’s keenness to enhance economic and trade relations, according to SPA.
The Saudi pavilion, held under the slogan “We Are Alike”, highlights the shared values that create a favorable environment for cooperation and joint investment. The participation includes several government agencies and more than 80 companies representing energy, renewable energy, trade, and investment sectors.
SPA noted that a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding are scheduled to be signed during the Fair to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
The large Saudi participation is part of the Kingdom’s strategic policy to expand its presence in major regional and international exhibitions and consolidate its commercial partnerships.
The 62nd Damascus International Fair, returning after several years of suspension, features around 800 local and international companies.
