The Syrian film "As Befits You" wins an award at Festival Dcheira international du Cinéma

Damascus, SANA-The Syrian film “As Befits You” by director Kawthar Maarawi won the Best Female Performance Award for the actress Rama Zain al-Abidin at Festival Dcheira international du Cinéma.

Director Maarawi told SANA that this award is the fruit of collective efforts exerted by the team work, saying that this award, which is the 2nd one after Libya Film Festival, stresses the jury’s appreciation for the artistic quality of the production.

She also hailed the role of General Organization for Cinema, which produced the film, and underscored the importance of supporting the production of Syrian films in light of advancing artistic movement in Syria.

The film portrays emotions of loss and nostalgia, capturing the internal struggle of the individual after losing loved ones.
