Art Exhibition depicts the people's fatigue during the era of deposed regime

Damascus, SANA -Sculptor Mumtaz Shaib expressed through his works the Syrian people’s fatigue during the era of the deposed regime  through his solo exhibition that was opened at the Blue House Gallery in Damascus.

The exhibition has included 30 sculptures of varying sizes, from small to medium and large ones, made by an expressive style using bronze material, with a touch and color specific to each work, and that was suitable for expressing the human feeling of its sculptures as they were  suffering of loss, tiredness, sadness, disappointment and waiting, which reflected the suffering of the Syrian people for decades.

Regarding the return of artistic activity in Syria after the fall of the criminal regime, Shaib believes that this matter is an important need, as artists did not stop working during this period because it is full of events and inspiring feelings that will be embodied through artistic works in the future, Stressing that all artists need to express their feelings and convey their ideas and messages to the public.

He added that “we are doomed to continue working and presenting Syrian art that is worthy of its cultural, civilizational, and artistic heritage, which has enriched the world’s museums and provided much to humanity.

Mumtaz Shaib is an independent Syrian sculptor born in 1977 and dedicated to artistic work He participated in several local, Arab and international group exhibitions.
