Homs, May 29 (SANA) Volunteer groups organized an Eid al-Adha carnival in the city of al-Qusayr in the Homs countryside on Thursday, bringing entertainment and activities to children and families as residents gathered to celebrate the holiday.
The event, held in the city’s streets, featured performances and interactive activities that drew broad participation from local families.
The carnival was organized by the “Mobaderoon” volunteer team in cooperation with Hand in Hand for Relief and Development. Organizers said the initiative was aimed at sharing the joy of Eid with residents, particularly in a city that has experienced years of displacement and hardship.
Residents welcomed the initiative, saying it helped spread joy and optimism in the community.
They added that the event created a festive atmosphere and brought happiness to children and families.
Organizers and participants said such community initiatives help strengthen social solidarity and provide support for communities recovering from years of difficult conditions, while offering children opportunities to celebrate and enjoy the holiday.
