Moscow, SANA- Russian President Vladimir Putin hoped Astana meeting would be “a good platform” to resume Geneva talks, saying “It is very important that the Syrian sides affirm there is no military solution to the crisis in Syria.”
Putin was speaking at a meeting with Jordanian King Abdullah II as both sides discussed means of combating terrorism.
For his part, King Abdullah II appreciated the Russian role in the region, describing it as “very important to solve the crisis in Syria and other international crises.”
