Tehran, SANA- Iran affirmed on Saturday its firm stance in supporting Syria’s independence and territorial integrity.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi told FARS news agency that Iran has always stressed that the only solution to the crisis in Syria is a political one, adding that the Syrian people are the only one who should determine their future as Syria’s internal issues don’t concern the others.
He described Iran’s stances towards Syria and the region as “rational and objective,” asserting that Iran poses no threats to any state and it will continue its peaceful policy and constructive role in stabilizing the region.
