Moscow, SANA – Russian Defense Ministry’s spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashekov said on Friday that the allegations made by US State Department spokesman John Kirby about the bombardment of hospitals in Syria constitute an “information blooper” that will remain a stain on Kirby’s biography.
Konashekov said that it has become absolutely clear for everyone that the allegedly bombed “hospitals” and “mobile clinics” in Aleppo exist only in US State Department spokesman John Kirby’s imagination, and that this “information blooper” will certainly remain a stain on Kirby’s biography.
The defense ministry spokesman added that if all those alleged “bombed hospitals and mobile clinics” were counted, that would mean there is nothing else in Syria apart from them.
Konashekov pointed out that Russia has repeatedly asked representatives of the United States, Britain, France, Germany, and other countries and international organizations to provide any information on the location of medical aid posts or hospitals or schools in Syrian areas controlled by terrorists, but the answer is always the same: no one has such information; there are only reports by the “White Helmets” or anonymous local activists.
