Prague, SANA – Czech Foreign Minister Lubomir Zaoralek announced that his government will give financial aid to five children from Aleppo city through MEDEVAC Program for humanitarian evacuations of inhabitants with health issues.
Zaoralek said the assistance will be provided in cooperation between the Czech Foreign and Interior ministries, noting that the allocated sum is USD 200 thousand.
Last June, the Czech government announced it would give USD 7.8 in humanitarian and development aid to Syria during the next three years. The assistance will be for supporting reconstruction, rehabilitation of facilities, education, civil society and local administration.
Two Czech planes delivered medical aid provided by the Czech Red Cross to the Syrian Arab Red Crescent last June.
