200 aid packages distributed in Daraa

Daraa, SANA – A new batch of humanitarian aid provided by Russia was delivered to al-Shaqraniyeh town in the northeastern countryside of Daraa province.

200 aid packages containing food items have been distributed in the town as part of Russia’s continuous aid convoys sent to the Syrian people with the aim of enhancing their steadfastness in the face of terrorist war waged on their country and the unilateral economic sanctions imposed by some regional and western countries.

In a statement to journalists, Daraa Governor Mohammad Khaled al-Hanous said that the Russian assistance reflects the deep Syrian-Russian relations over the years and comes as a complement to Russia’s humanitarian, social and relief role in alleviating the suffering of Syrian people due to terrorism.

He hailed Russia’s efforts as a real partner to the Syrians in their war against takfiri terrorism that is backed by regional and western countries in a flagrant violation of international laws which provide for drying up the sources of terrorism.

Over the past few months, Russia has distributed hundreds of tons of aid and relief materials to the Syrians across the country, in addition to dropping aid packages to the inhabitants besieged by terrorist organizations, especially in the towns of Kfarya and al-Fou’a and Deir Ezzor city.
