Two new planes with humnaitarian aid from WFP arrive in Qamishli

Hasaka, SANA- Two new planes carrying humanitarian aid and food supplies sent by the World Food Program (WFP) to Hasaka province arrived in Qamishli Airport on Wednesday evening through the air bridge which transports aid through Damascus International Airport.

Director of the WFP Office in Qamishli Afra Nouh told SANA that the aid onboard the two planes included 1,008 packages of schoolbags, 700 packages of varied food aid , 800 bags of rice, 800 bags of bulgur and 320 packages of vegetable oil.

Nouh indicated that the number of the food packages which have arrived in Hasaka province since last July 9th reached 28,000 packages out of 30,000 packages while about 2,222 packages of peanut butter have been transported to the province.

The Relief Subcommittee in Hasaka Province had set timetables for distributing the food packages to the families in need and those who came to Hasaka from other provinces fleeing the terrorist acts of the armed groups.
