Supreme religious judge: Wednesday is the first day of Eid al-Fitr in Syria

Damascus, SANA-Supreme religious judge in Damascus Mahmoud Ma’arawi announced on Monday that next Wednesday will be the first day of Eid al-Fitr.

“Tuesday will be the 30^th of the holy month of Ramadan, so the first day of Eid al-Fitr will be on Wednesday July 6^th, 2016,” Judge Ma’arawi said in a statement.

Muslims around the world fast from dawn to sunset every day in Ramadan.
