Damascus, SANA – The Ministry of Tourism is currently preparing studies and research on the site of Tuloul al-Safa in Sweida province in preparation for its nomination to enter the World Heritage List.
Head of tourism planning at the Ministry Susan Basheer said in a statement to SANA that a committee including representatives of the ministry and other parties was formed to prepare the necessary studies for the nomination of Tuloul al-Safa site for the World Heritage List of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
Tuloul al-Safa is distinguished by its volcanic nature and archaeological and historical value. It includes a geological park, which makes it an important tourist destination from cultural and historical perspectives.
