Damascus, SANA- The prices of gold have dropped and lost nearly SYP 2200 of their values during a week after the price of the 21 Karat touched SYP 25000.
The price of the 21 karat gold per gram reached SYP 21 000, while the price of 18 karat gold per gram was set at SYP 18 000.
Head of goldsmiths and jewelry Association Ghassan Jazmati expected the price of gold will continue to drop as the Central Bank of Syria (CBS) has been able to improve the exchange rate of SYP against dollar which has witnessed a relative drop since the beginning of this week.
