Damascus Countryside, SANA- A new batch of humanitarian aid offered by Russia was distributed to the locals in al-Rhaibeh city in cooperation with Damascus Countryside Governorate and the Ministry of State for National Reconciliation Affairs.
Yuri Zrayev, representative of the Russian Coordination Center in Hmeimeem said in a statement that the aid is offered by the Russian people to the Syrian people with whom they have strong relationships.
Zrayev added that the Russian Coordination Center in Hmeimeem continues work to consolidate the cessation of hostilities and to communicate with the armed groups to join the agreement and act to defeat terrorism completely.
A Russian medical team provided patients with medical services in al-Rhaibeh city which is located 50 kilometers to the north east of Damascus Countryside.
In turn Ahmed Adas, deputy governor of Damascus Countryside said that the Russian aid to al-Rhaibeh is a sincere expression of the solidarity and support of the Russian friends with the Syrian people.
On Saturday morning, a Russian plane arrived to Damascus International Airport carrying humanitarian aid provided by the government and the people of Russia to the Syrian people including various relief items and children’s requirements which will be distributed to a number of orphanages in Damascus in addition to hundreds of locals affected by terrorism in al-Rhaibeh city in Damascus Countryside.
Russia has provided large quantities of humanitarian aid to dozens of towns in the Syrian provinces which were distributed in cooperation and coordination with the authorities concerned in Syria to ensure they arrive to those who need them.
