Health Ministry receives 10 ambulances delivered by WHO

Lattakia, SANA – The Health Ministry received on Sunday 10 ambulances delivered by the World Health Organization (WHO) aimed to boost the emergency system of the health directorates in the provinces.

Ahmad Khleifawi, Assistant Health Minister, affirmed the Ministry’s keenness to support the ambulance and emergency system to raise the level of response to medical needs, mainly after many ambulances have been damaged, vandalized or looted by the armed terrorist organizations under the current crisis.

On December 2015, the Health Ministry received six ambulances delivered by the Unified Syrian Club in Santiago in Chile to support the Ministry’s medical system.

For his part, Representative of the WHO Wael Ismail said the organization seeks to provide  all possible support to help in rehabilitating the health sector in Syria according to the capabilities available, indicating that the emergency system will be supplied with more ambulances in the coming period.
