Damascus, SANA – Temperatures continue to rise to become about or slightly above as the country is under the influence of high air pressure accompanied by southwestern air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that the skies will be partly cloudy in general with a weak chance of local rainfalls over the coastal heights and the weather will be cold at night.
The department warned of frost forming over mountains and fog in some inland areas.
The wind will be easterly to southeasterly of low to moderate speed and the sea waves will be of low to medium amplitude.
The expected temperatures in some of the main Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 14/04, Daraa 14/04, Homs 12/05, Hama 13/ 06, Hasaka 13/04, Lattakia 17/12, Tartous 16/12, Aleppo 17/13 and Deir Ezzor 14/05.
There were already rainfalls in various areas across the country over the past 24 hours.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform rain bulletin, the amounts of rainfall reached 3mm in Homs, 2mm in Hama, and 4mm in Tratous.
