Damascus, SANA – The temperatures will rise but remaining 4 to 6 degrees bellow average as the country is under the influence of a low air pressure accompanied by western wet air currents in the higher layers of the atmosphere.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Sunday bulletin the skies will be partly cloudy to cloudy sometimes; local rain showers and snow are expected over several areas across the country, and sometimes they will be accompanied with snow over AL-Jazeera and northern areas.
Snow falls over the mountainous heights.
The Department said the winds will be easterly to southeasterly of light to moderate speed, while the sea waves will be of low amplitude.
The expected temperatures in some main Syrian cities are as follows: Damascus 08/04, Daraa 08/03, Homs 06/01, Hama 08/0, Hasaka 04/01, Lattakia 13/06, Aleppo 04/01 and Deir Ezzor 06/03.
Meanwhile, Various amounts of rainfalls were registered in several Syrian provinces over the past 24 hours, the heaviest of which were in Sweida and Quneitra 10 mm.
In other provinces rainfalls were as follows: Homs 9 mm, Damascus countryside 6.4 mm, Tartous 5.5 mm, Daraa 3.3 mm, 1.3 in Lattakia.
