Moscow, SANA – Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennadiy Gatilov said that preparations for the Syrian-Syrian meeting due to be held on January 25th in Geneva haven’t been completed, so UN Special Envoy on Syria Staffan de Mistura will conduct a visit to Damascus and other countries in the region in order to form the opposition delegation before the deadline.
Gatilov told journalists that de Mistura is counting on the cooperation of Syrian sides to hold the meeting on schedule, but there are still some issues related to this meeting that remain unresolved, particularly ones related to forming the delegation of the opposition’s representatives.
