Damascus, SANA – Temperatures will drop to become around average as the country is influenced by a low air pressure system accompanied by a southwestern moist and relatively cold air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
The Meteorology Department said in its Thursday bulletin that the skies will be partly cloudy to cloudy and that showers are expected over various areas of the country.
The winds will be easterly to southeasterly of light to moderate speed, while the sea waves will be of low amplitude.
The expected temperature degrees in some Syrian cities are as follows: Damascus 14/07, Daraa 15/07, Homs 15/06, Hama 14/07, Hasaka 14/05, Lattakia 18/13, Aleppo 12/05 and Deir Ezzor 15/06.
There were rainfalls in some areas during the past 24 hours.
The Ministry of Agriculture said the highest rainfall amounts were in Aleppo (17mm), Lattakia (6.4mm) and Tartous (1.5mm).
