Damascus, SANA- Within “Live Syria 2015” campaign, the 9th edition of the Monthly Shopping Festival on Friday evening kicked off at Damascus-based Tishreen Sport Hall under the title “Back to School” with the participation of 60 national industrial companies.
The Festival, organized by the Chamber of Industry of Damascus and its Countryside, comes in coincidence with the beginning of the new schoolyear as all school supplies are being displayed in the framework of the festival such as school uniforms and the stationary.
15 corporations specialized in school supplies are displaying their products in the festival with suitable prices and good offers and discounts.
Member of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, Head of the festival’s organizing committee Akram Hallaq stressed that the continued participation of the major national companies in this monthly festival reflects their keenness on following up the markets and providing all the products needed by the Syrian families.
Al-Hallaq referred to the offers and discounts provided by the participating companies, calling upon citizens to benefit from the offers, especially of the companies which are specialized in the school supplies.
He indicated that despite of the unjust siege imposed on Syria, the national companies are still working on the ground and they provide all the products needed by the citizens with a high quality, adding that the Syrian industrialists are performing their duty in enhancing the national economy.
For his part, Member of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, Talal Qal’aji affirmed that the festival aims at promoting the Syrian industry and raising it to the highest levels, in addition to proving that the Syrian industrial companies are still working despite of the current crisis.
On April 11th, the Chamber of Industry of Damascus and its countryside launched the monthly shopping festivals at al-Jalaa Sports Complex in Damascus with the participation of 55 companies as the Chamber holds a shopping festival between the 11th and 17th day of each month and the festivals will continue till the end of the current year.
Monthly shopping festivals are also held in a number of the Syrian provinces, the latest of which was held in Tartous.
