Syria, Iran discuss to enhance medical cooperation

Tehran, SANA – Health Minister Dr. Nizar Yazigi discussed on Monday with head of the Iranian-Syrian Economic Relations’ Development Committee Rostam Ghasemi means of benefiting from the Iranian credit line to secure needs of medical sector in Syria.

Minister Yazigi pointed out to requirements of the medical sector in Syria of equipment, special medicines and tools in light of terrorist attacks on health centers and infrastructure.

He also met with Iranian Assistant Health Minister Mohammad Bagher Larijani with both sides discussing ways to increase scholarships and training courses for the Syrian students in Iran.

Yazigi also paid a visit to Royan Scientific Research Institute and inspected the achievements made by the Iranian researchers and means of making use of them to provide the medical needs in Syria.
