Damascus, SANA –Health Minister Dr. Nizar Yazigi discussed on Monday with the International Committee of the Red Cross Head of delegation to Syria Marian Gaser the efforts exerted to deliver humanitarian aid and means of improving cooperation in the health sector.
Dr. Yazigi stressed the Ministry’s keenness on cooperation with the ICRC to improve medical services in some areas, stressing the importance of partnerships with all health-related national associations and providing them with medicines and equipment.
For her part, Gaser said the Syrian government is providing a lot of facilitations to ensure distribution of humanitarian aid to all areas, adding that she is seeking an increase in the volume of medical aid provided by donor countries as to accommodate all citizens in all areas.
