Damascus, SANA- “In light of the crisis which Syria is suffering from, we must send a message to the whole world that we stand by Syria against terrorism and against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria “ISIS”,” Director of the Political Bureau at the Palestinian Liberation Organization “PLO” in Damascus, Ambassador Anwar Abdul-Hadi said.
In interview with the Syrian TV on Wednesday, Abdul-Hadi stressed ”We are cooperating with the Syrian state regarding the Palestinian camps, particularly al-Yarmouk Camp after the terrorist organizations of the ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra stormed the camp.”
Residents of the terrorist-besieged Yarmouk Camp in southern Damascus were forced to flee their homes last April after terrorists from ISIS entered the area with the help of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization.
“We came to Syria to alleviate the suffering of our people in cooperation with the Syrian Government in all the domains, and we have met Syrian officials who were very helpful and ready to solve any problem facing the Palestinians, particularly in al-Yarmouk Camp,” he added.
He indicated that the decision of entering al-Yarmouk Camp, the icon of the right of return, by the terrorists was not at all a self-decision, but it was a regional decision that serves Israel as it aims at undermining the will of the Palestinians and displacing them in order to forget that right.
Abdul-Hadi affirmed that the regional parties, which support the armed terrorists, have exploited the events in al-Yarmouk Camp because they think that they can pressurize the Syrian Government to have concessions, but they are deluded as the Palestinians are adhered to the right of return, and the Syrian Government will not cancel the Camp regardless of anything, saying “Our common goal is to preserve the life of the people and to stop the bloodshed and the destruction.”
He went on saying “We support any decision taken by the Syrian Government regarding al-Yarmouk Camp as it is a part of the Syrian land and of Damascus city and the Government has informed us that it doesn’t want to enter the camp because if it did so, the world will forget what the ISIS terrorist organization did and it will hold Syria responsible for what is taking place in the camp of killing and destruction.”
He said that most of the Palestinians respect the Palestinian decision of not interfering in the Syrian internal affairs, affirming that if Syria faced a foreign aggression, “We will fight with it.”
He clarified that there is about 7 thousand Syrian and Palestinian people beseiged in al-Yarmouk Camp now and ISIS terrorists prevent them from getting out of the Camp to use them as human shields.
