PUIC calls on international community to counter terrorist groups in Syria and Iraq

Tehran, SANA –

Iranian Shura Council Speaker and Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC) Rotating President, Ali Larijani, called for countering the takfiri terrorist groups and preventing delivery of military and financial support to these groups which are committing brutal crimes against peoples in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Larijani said that some sides have justified the acts of the takfiri terrorist groups in Syria for more than three years and their justification were only flimsy pretexts, pointing out that these takfiri terrorist groups are seeking to wreak havoc in the region.
