Damascus, SANA-Syrian national team of Kickboxing won 34 different medals in the Mediterranean open championship held in Beirut with the participation of 12 countries.
The Syrian team has been able to gain 14 gold medals, 14 silver and 6 bronze, having the second place in the championship.
Chairman of the General Sports’ union Mowafaq Jomaa received players of the Syrian team on Tuesday, congratulating them for their distinguished achievement.
National teams of Palestine, Morocco, Portugal, Egypt, Kuwait, Iran, Jordan, Greece, Bulgaria, Cyprus and Lebanon took part in the tournament which concluded its activities today.
