Syrian athlete wins gold in Paralympics championship in Sao Paulo

Brasilia, SANA – Syrian athlete Mohamad Khaled Mohamad won a gold medal at the Athletics Open Championships held in Sao Paulo as part of the 2015 IPC Athletics Grand Prix.

Mohamad won the medal in the javelin toss event, setting a world record of 43.05 meters.

Throughout his career in Paralympics, Mohamad won several medals in championships, including 4 gold and two silver medals in shot-put and javelin toss the athletics competitions held in February in the UAE, in addition to winning the world championship in shot-put in France in 2013.
