Tehran, SANA – Spokeswoman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry Marzieh Afkham said that Iran had called on countries that neighbor Syria to help resolve the crisis in it since the beginning of the crisis.
In a weekly press conference on Wednesday, Afkham said that there are disputes with the Turkish side regarding the crisis in Syria, but talks between Iran and Turkey could help find solutions in this regard.
She stressed that Iran had repeatedly called on Syria-neighboring countries to limit terrorist activity and prevent their infiltration into Syria, and that those who support terrorism may achieve short-term goals, but they won’t be able to stop terrorism from turning against them in the future.
Afkham also addressed the Syrian-Iranian-Swiss meeting held to discuss humanitarian aid efforts in Syria on Tuesday and the Syrian-Iraqi-Iranian meeting held on Wednesday to boost cooperation, stressing that Syrian-Iraqi-Iranian relations are better now than ever before.
