Beirut, SANA-Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Fayssal Mikdad said that Moscow second consultative meeting, which concluded deliberations last Thursday, has offered atmospheres of hope and optimism.
“The talks were more organized and featured by seriousness, yet, they resulted in a consensus by all participants on points which were an issue of disagreement between the government and the opposition sides since the outbreak of the crisis in Syria,” Mikdad said in an article published by Lebanese al-Binaa newspaper on Saturday.
He called on the Syrian national opposition which rejects terrorism to cooperate with the Syrian government and army to overcome this danger which poses a threat, not only to Syria, but to the region and the world.
Mikdad said the opposition parties have to take into consideration, while running dialogue on the crisis in the country, the developments in Syria and the region since 2012, particularly the mounting danger of terrorism, mainly the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and “Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organizations.
He added the Russian friends were a fair witness on what has been achieved in Moscow meeting although all attempts of suspicion, practiced by the Saudi media and others.
“The Syrians, with the help of Russians, are the only ones who are able to restore security and stability to the Homeland through an inter-Syrian dialogue.”Mikdad concluded.
