Damascus, SANA- Syria and Germany have discussed means to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the health sector.
That came during a meeting Tuesday that brought together Dr. Zuhair Qarrat, Director of the Planning and International Cooperation Directorate, and a delegation from the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).
The German delegation was led by Tatia Loman, Head of the Syria Projects Package at the Agency.
Talks during the meeting tackled the possibility of implementing and supporting health projects, rebuilding and rehabilitating health facilities in Syria, and supporting health services provided to citizens.
Both sides underscored the need to improve the health sector by training and qualifying human resources, in addition to technical support through sending modern and advanced equipment from Germany.
