Beirut, SANA – Syriac Catholic Patriarch of Antioch, Mar Ignatius Joseph III Younan, reiterated his calls for stopping regional and international interference in Syria and putting an end to the flow of weapons and terrorists to the country.
In his Easter message issued on Wednesday, Patriarch Younan cited a number of crimes committed by the armed terrorist groups in Syria, including murder, massacres, and abduction, calling on the international community to urge all parties to sit at the negotiations table and pursue political solutions.
He also demanded that the international community work towards releasing Syriac Orthodox Bishop John Ibrahim and Greek Orthodox Bishop Paul Yazigi, who had been abducted by terrorists in Aleppo in 2013.
