Damascus, SANA – A salute to the Syrian flag was held Tuesday in the landmark Umayyad Square in Damascus.
Scores of children of al-Baath Vanguards Organization and a crowd of people recited the national anthem, in a show of renewing allegiance to the homeland.
The head of al-Baath Vanguards Organization, Izzat Arabi Katibi, said the message of this event is that the Syrian flag will always be raised high across generations, considering that teaching children patriotism provides as safety valve for future.
Children expressed their happiness with the event, asserting their determination to keep their country proud.
