OIC calls for international investigation into Israeli crimes against Palestinian prisoners

Jeddah, SANA – Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) called on Friday for an urgent international investigation into the ongoing crimes and violation of Israeli occupation against the Palestinian prisoners in its detention centers.

WAFA News Agency quoted the organization as saying in a statement that the occupation escalated its brutal crimes and unprecedented violations against thousands of Palestinian prisoners.

“These violations have been well-documented by specialized legal entities and included crimes such as execution, torture, starvation, rape, isolation, and forced disappearance of the prisoners in Gaza strip,” the statement read.

The statement affirmed that Israeli’s actions are considered war crimes and crimes against humanity, and they blatantly violate the standards and regulations of international humanitarian law.
