Hasaka, SANA- Hasaka Governor Dr. Louay Sayyouh discussed with the First Secretary of the Swedish Ambassador to Syria, Lina Fassali, and the Deputy Representative of the UN Children’s Fund in Syria, Mio Nemoto, the urgent needs of Hasaka citizens, who are living in difficult conditions, due to the existence of the US and Turkish occupations and their practices against the people of the province.
Sayyouh pointed out to the role that Sweden can play in communicating with all international parties to neutralize the Alouk water station and lift the hand of the Turkish occupier from it, and operate it.
He praised the work of the children’s Organization “UNICEF” and its qualitative projects in the governorate, and its contribution to alleviating the suffering of locals, calling for increasing the support provided by Sweden to UNICEF to implement projects that help people overcome these exceptional circumstances.
Fassali affirmed conveying the suffering of the people of Hasaka to her country and working to alleviate this suffering in addition to increasing the financial support provided to the projects of international organizations in the governorate, particularly the UNICEF.
In turn, the deputy representative of UNICEF in Syria noted the efforts of the governorate in providing the necessary facilities for the work of the organization, stressing the continuation of the implementation of projects that contribute to the advancement of the conditions of the people in full coordination with government agencies.
