Damascus, SANA – Syria witnessed Friday a partial solar eclipse, which reached its peak with 21 percent of the sun obscured over Damascus.
The eclipse started at 11: 15 pm, after it had been announced earlier by Chairman of the Syrian Astronomical Association.
Abdul-Azizi Snouber earlier expected in a statement to SANA that the eclipse would range between 15 % in the eastern and southern parts of the country and 21 % in northwestern Syria.
