Petroleum Minister discusses with his counterparts in Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon developing relations

Doha, SANA-  Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Dr. Firas Qaddour, discussed with the Ministers of Petroleum, Energy and Mineral Resources of Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon bilateral relations and means develop them in the various fields of oil and gas.

This came on the sidelines of the 12th  Arab Energy Conference in Doha.

They stressed, during the meeting, the importance of strengthening relations and exchanging experiences in the oil and gas sector, as it is one of the vital sectors of the economy and development and ways to enhance cooperation in the technical and technological fields in the field of oil and gas extraction and refining.

The ministers discussed the possibility of activating the Arab gas pipeline between Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon in a way that achieves the interests of these countries, with Minister Qaddour affirming that the pipeline inside Syrian territory is ready to transport gas after maintenance operations were carried out on it.
