President al-Assad issues administrative order terminating call-up and retention of some military personnel

Damascus, SANA-President Bashar al-Assad, Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Armed Forces, issued on Monday an administrative order terminating the call-up of reserve officers as of Feb. 1, 2024 for anyone who will complete one year and over of actual military service by the date of Jan. 31, 2024.

The order also ends the retention and call-up for the non-commissioned officers and reserve soldiers as of Feb. 1, 2024 for anyone who will complete six years and over of actual military service by the date of Jan. 31, 2024.
