Ambassador Ala: Necessity of intensifying efforts to confront the occupation’s plans aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause

Cairo, SANA-Syria’s permanent representative to the League of Arab States, Ambassador Hussam El-Din Ala, stressed the necessity of intensifying efforts to confront and thwart the Israeli occupation’s plans aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause and displacing the Palestinian people from their land, noting that the war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in the Gaza Strip are being carried out with the auspices and collaboration of western countries, mainly the United States with a support that amounts to a partnership in these crimes.

Syria welcomes the holding of this session to discuss ways to confront the Israeli aggression against Gaza Strip and hold the occupying entity accountable for the crimes it commits against the Palestinian people, as its hysterical raids caused the continuing massacres that affected whole families, the martyrdom of more than 7,000 Palestinians, the majority of whom were children and women, and widespread destruction of property, residential neighborhoods, Islamic and Christian places of worship, schools, hospitals, patients, medical teams, ambulances, shelter centers, crossings, humanitarian convoys, and humanitarian workers,” Ambassador Ala said in a statement on Thursday during the special session of the Arab Permanent Committee for Human Rights regarding the ongoing Israeli aggression against Gaza Strip.

Ambassador Ala added that the Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip and outside it coincided with military provocations and attacks on Syrian and Lebanese territories, including recent repeated attacks on the airports of Damascus and Aleppo, in an attempt to expand the scope of war and aggression in a way that poses threat to peace and security throughout the region and beyond, noting the occupation’s crimes in Palestine are inseparable from its ongoing violations against the people of the occupied Syrian Golan.
