President al-Assad and Mrs. Asma arrive at Beijing airport,meet the Syrian community

Beijing, SANA- President Bashar al-Assad and First Lady, Mrs. Asma al-Assad arrived at Beijing airport.

In Beijing, the capital of China, President Bashar al-Assad and Mrs. Asma al-Assad met with several members of the Syrian community residing in China.

The meeting was an opportunity to talk about the homeland and the role of the community in the next stage.

President al-Assad also addressed the relationship with China and how Syrians contribute to strengthening it, as well as the unique Chinese experience that put China at the forefront of the world’s countries, and how we can benefit and learn from it.

Al-Assad said that Syrian communities are the humanitarian, social and intellectual bridge between Syria and the rest of the world, and highlighted the importance of their role in building relations that link Syria with those countries.

In their dialogue with members of the community, President al-Assad and the First Lady Mrs. Asma talk about the great transformation that China has witnessed in recent decades, starting from values, authenticity, and an identity rooted in history, and relying on constant knowledge and work, in addition to China’s humility in its relationship with the countries of the world, unlike the West, which only looks at others according to its goals and interests, far from principles and morals. Therefore, the horizon of the relationship between Syria and China is open and broad because it is based on principles.

In their meeting with members of the community, President Al-Assad and Mrs. Asma Al-Assad listen to new ideas, proposals and opinions about Syrian-Chinese cooperation in the scientific, research, medical and technological fields, carried by members of the community who came from different Chinese cities, practicing various scientific and professional works and specializations, among them are university professors, researchers, doctors, teachers, journalists, and economic entrepreneurs, all of whom have achieved success as they reside in China and are always looking forward to serving and benefiting their homeland, Syria.

President al-Assad is scheduled to meet with Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress Zhao Leji tomorrow.
