Amman, SANA- Agriculture and Agrarian Reform Ministry, represented by Ali Thabit, participated in the 26th session of Near East Forestry and Range Commission held by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization(FAO) in Amman.
During the session, Thabet said that discussions focused on activities of FAO, country activities and requests and recommendations of the 25th session, in addition to discussing global developments and initiatives related to the Authority and the strategic forest planning of the organization.
The meeting also discussed other issues such as restoring mixed forest-pasture farming systems to alleviate the effects of drought, as well enhancing knowledge exchange and South-South cooperation in order to improve dry land forests.
