Homs, SANA- Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources Suleiman al-Abbas announced the beginning of repairing and rehabilitating Jazal and Mazrour oil fields in the countryside of the central province of Homs to put them into production as soon as possible after the army has restored security and stability to them and the surrounding area.
Last Saturday, units of the army destroyed the last Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist organizations’ gatherings in Jazal oil field, northwest of Palmyra city and destroyed their weapons and equipment and seized amounts of weapons and ammunition.
The minister pointed out, during a tour of the oil and gas fields in the countryside of Homs, including al-Arak gas station, 40km to the east of Palmyra city and Jazal and Mazrour oil fields, that Hayan Company’s maintenance teams started repairing and rehabilitating works at these fields to put them into production soon.
Minister’s tour, also, included al-Meher gas station, affiliated to Hayan gas field, to which the army has established security and stability last year.
The station, which produces about 750,000 cubic meter of gas per a day, was rehabilitated, repaired and put into production.
Al-Abbas appreciated the efforts exerted by the workers of the stations who supported the army in defending the station and protecting it against the armed terrorist organizations.
