Syria, DPRK discuss means of developing parliamentary relations

Damascus, SANA- Syria and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea’s Friendship Committee at the People’s Assembly discussed on Monday with Chargé d’ Affaires of DPRK Embassy in Damascus, Kim Hye Ryong, means of enhancing and developing parliamentary relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, Chairman and members of the committee described relations between Syria and DPRK as deeply-rooted, affirming and the need to develop them in a way that meets the higher interest of the two friendly peoples.

They called for increasing the exchange of visits and experiences, particularly in the parliamentary, economic, educational, and agricultural domains, hailing the stances of DPRK in support of Syria.

DPRK Charge d’ Affairs, for his part, described as “strong and distinguished” the bilateral ties between the two countries, stressing that his country’ support to Syria’s sovereignty and stability is firm and continuous.
