Three Syrian boxers participate in IBA Men’s World Boxing Championship, Tashkent

Tashkent, SANA- Syria will participate in the IBA Men’s World Boxing Championship which will be launched on Monday in the Uzbek capital, Tashkent, with the participation of 539 boxers from 107 countries.

Syrian boxer Ahmed Ghossoun will play a match with Chinese champion Taipei at the 75 kg category, while Alaa Ghossoun will play a match with the Romanian champion in the competition of the 92 kg category while Mohamed Meles will play a match with the champion of the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the over-92 kg category.

Head of Boxing Federation Kamel Shabib told SANA that the matches which the Syrian players will play are not easy, because all the teams include boxers of a high technical level, and the competition will be strong.

Shabib added that the Syrian boxers have also had trained through outdoor and indoor camps, and they will do all their best to achieve good results in the aforementioned championship.
