Syrian- Slovakian talks on enhancing educational cooperation

Bratislava, SANA- Tishreen University signed three agreements with Slovak Universities of Economics, Technology and Agriculture to enhance and develop cooperation in the scientific, academic and research fields, and exchange experiences, researches, visits and future projects.

Rector of Tishreen University, Dr. Bassam Hassan signed the agreements in Slovakian city capital of Bratislava and offered a detailed explanation about the history, programs and projects of Tishreen University.

Dr. Hassan stressed the illegitimate economic measures imposed on Syria by Washington and the West affect negatively the life of the Syrian people and obstruct ways to overcoming the repercussions of the earthquake struck Syria on 6th of last February.
In a statement to SANA’s correspondent in Prague, Professor Ferdinand Ferro, Dean of University of Economics in Slovakia, confirmed the importance of cooperation and coordination with Tishreen University in various fields.

He expressed his university’s readiness to offer all necessary to enhance and develop this cooperation.
Pro. Ferro condemned the Western coercive economic measures imposed on the Syrian people, noting that they negatively affected the educational, and medical domains and other various sectors of life, calling upon the international community to immediately lift them.
He also expressed his pride in presence of the Syrian students in Slovak universities.

In a similar statement, Rector of Technology University Oliver Moravick condemned the Western measures imposed on the Syrian people, asserting that they led to the suffering of the Syrian people, calling on the international community to immediately lift them and not to politicize the humanitarian aid provided to the earthquake-affected people.
