Damascus, SANA_ State Minister for National Reconciliation Affairs Dr. Ali Haidar said the Syrian expats are ambassadors for their countries abroad.
During his meeting on Monday with a delegation from the Syrian community in Kuwait, Haidar stressed the importance that Syrian expats return to their home country in the future.
He referred to an imminent return of the locals of al-Husn town in Homs countryside in the next couple of days which he said is believed to be “a precursor for the return for every Syrian citizen who has been forced out of his home.”
The army restored security to al-Husn town in March 2014 after driving out terrorists.
For their part, the delegation members expressed willingness to provide all forms of support to the ministry to accomplish its missions and activate national reconciliations, stressing support for their homeland in confronting the terrorist war and participating in the reconstruction phase.
In a press statement following the meeting, head of delegation Wael al-Nasser said: “The visit to our home country seeks to back up the government’s work and the efforts of the National Reconciliation Ministry which aim to achieve national reconciliation in all areas.”
Al-Nasser stressed the necessity that the Syrian expatriates return to help reconstruct what has been destroyed by terrorists in their country.
