Damascus, SANA- President Bashar al-Assad on Tuesday discussed with UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, Martin Griffiths, the practical steps and procedures that would have an effect and direct results on the track of recovery from the repercussions of the earthquake disaster in all sectors.
At the same time, those steps and procedures would contribute to providing appropriate conditions for the return of more Syrian displaced to their cities and villages.
The President and Mr. Griffiths also discussed the international efforts that support those procedures and steps in a way that help the Syrians overcome the impacts of the war and earthquake, boost stability in Syria and the return of the Syrians to their normal life as well.
Earlier, Foreign and Expatiates Minister, Fayssal Mikdad, met Mr. Griffiths and the accompanying delegation.
Talks during the meeting dealt with different aspects of cooperation between the Syrian national sides, from one side, and the UN and its agencies, from another side, to ease the suffering of Syrians from the repercussions of the earthquake that hit the country on Feb. 6th.
