National Earthquake Center: 68 weak quakes recorded

Damascus, SANA- National Earthquake Center announced Thursday that the stations of the National Seismic Monitoring Networks have recorded 68 weak quakes all of them are measuring less than 4 degrees on Richter scale.

The Center stated in a statement that the quakes were distributed as follows: 47 in Liwa Iskenderun measuring between 1.7 and 3.7 magnitude on the Richter scale, 3 quakes West of Lebanese city of Beirut at the Mediterranean Sea, measuring between 4, 2.1 and 2.4 magnitude on the scale, 4 quakes on the Syrian-Turkish borders measuring 2.3, 2.9 on the scale in addition to 14 weak quakes within the Turkish land.

The Center pointed out the continued recording of weak quakes.
