Tehran, SANA- Iran has strongly condemned the Israeli aggression targeting Damascus and its vicinity on Sunday at dawn, causing the death of five people and injury of 15 others.
“In an indication to the sequence and coincidence of the new Israeli aggression on Syrian territory along with the terrorist attacks committed by Daesh terrorist organization in Homs eastern countryside on Saturday, the full connection and coordination between these two terrorist entities forms natural relationship between them’, IRNA News Agency quoted Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Nasser Kanaani, as saying in a statement.
Kanaani added that in light of the disastrous situation in Syria due to the devastating earthquake hit the country recently, both entities, through their terrorist acts, are trying to exacerbate the suffering of the Syrian people.
He described the Western countries’ ignorance of the Israeli repeated aggression on Syrian territory as “shameful”, calling on the international community and international institutions, especially, the Security Council to take serious and effective measures to respond the Zionist terrorist aggression against a member state at the United Nations.
Earlier, five people were martyred, 15 other were wounded in the Israeli aggression on Damascus and its vicinity on Sunday at dawn.
